Celebrate She-roes Everyday!!

The International’s Women’s Day is over, and so the plastered admiration and respect towards womanhood has started tainting.
All throughout the day, I came across messages, status and short films on whatsapp, facebook and other social media websites talking about the significance of womanhood and their strength.
Yeah, they did succeed in motivating, inspiring and encouraging me to celebrate my identity and feel beautiful about myself. But, unfortunately those fancy messages, quotes and beautiful short films fail to manifest a sense of security, equality and safety in my mind.
Ironically, the same people who made me feel beautiful the other day are selling me beauty in a 10gms box today! The very same people objectify, commodify and glorify me by giving different names and labels today. 
One day of tainted respect and sugar coated admiration cannot cover up for all the adversities and atrocities that a women has to go through daily.

Feminism is an incessant wave that needs to embraced and imbibed in the culture without glorifying it.
Let that wave flow smoothly and calm down the hurricane of incivility.
We seek respect and admiration in your actions and hearts, not in words and pictures!

Celebrate womanhood every-day, don’t wait till the next “International’s Women Day. “
